I’m not sure how many episodes Yong Pal has but we’ve already got a teaser for its successor “The Village: Achiara’s Secret!”
Summary from AsianWiki
Achiara is a small and peaceful village with nearly zero crime. One day, So-Yoon (Moon Geun-Young) arrives in Achiara. She will teach English at the local school. On her first day at work, she finds a buried body. So-Yoon and Police Officer Woo-Jae (Yook Sung-Jae) attempt to find the truth. As they get closer to the truth, the ugliness of the village is revealed.
Will there be a romance between these two? I’m all for noona romances but I feel like even if he’s playing older, the audience will find it difficult to wrap their heads around it given he found fame playing a high school student.
The first script reading was held on September 4th so it’s impressive that they’ve already released a teaser, albeit one without scenes from the show. When I say “impressive,” do I really mean “scary?” Because this seems like a drama that will almost be entirely live shot if it is to air so soon.
It’s written by Do Hyun Jung of “Que Sera Sera” fame and directed by Lee Yong Seok whose previous works include “Iljimae” and “The Great Seer.” Other cast members include Shin Eun Kyung, who just wrapped up her role as Sun Woo’s hilarious mom in”Oh My God,” and On Joo Won of “Surplus Princess.”
I’m all for fun, intricately woven mysteries so I hope “The Village” delivers. It is set to air in October on SBS.
