“Descendants of the Sun” Episode 10 Official Stills Of Jin Goo & Kim Ji Won

Our second OTPs most poignant scene yet is also episode 10’s most moving one: Dae Young storming the quarantined OR to embrace his beloved Myeong Joo, who’s just been infected by a deadly virus.

Kim Eun Sook and Kim Won Sook have successfully shown that you don’t need an exhausting love triangle/square to create a commanding angst.

Oh, lord, no words 🙁 Just floods of tears 🙁

  • Ivoire says:

As we know, she is not the only scriptwriter for this drama. Maybe they came up with that idea together?… The other screenwriter does not seem to be as mentioned as she is (most times when I read about this drama), which also comes across (at least to me), as him not getting as much recognition as she does. I personally do not know how much each contributed to the script, and in what ways, however, I always think of both, when I think about the writing of this drama. And I am saying this respectfully.

Ah, true, true. Thanks for reminding me. He definitely deserves recognition for that. Kim Won Sook is the contributing writer. Let me correct my post.

I also heard the script went through a major re-working after the deal with SBS fell through … And I’m glad it did.

    Exactly my thoughts…
I understand that there is another writer but if you would look at her previous projects the love triangle/square was never an issue.. Of course there are people acting as part of the love triangle (young do in the heirs) but they never mattered on that part because the main are always secured with one another or better yet their first meeting is always strong! They only gives spice and gives us the other side of the coin…

But i have this very bad feeling (instinct) that someone will die at the end.. Please i hope my instincts are wrong! Not one of the lead but i feel its seo… Oh… I can’t no… Stay positive! No one will die… Fans will be so pissed if they killed one of the four leads!

    • goodange says:

I’m the opposite of you … I don’t get that ominous feeling because even with the likelihood of a major death scene (considering the setting of the story and the profession of the characters), it also doesn’t seem like it’s in keeping with the direction/theme/or whatever it is I’m having a hard time describing (LOL). I guess it’s in large part due to what we’ve been getting—problems are surmountable even in situations and places wherein there really shouldn’t be any hope. But aaah, I don’t know … Myeong Joo’s situation could be the exception …

I’m going to try to stay positive … LOL.

  • cidorta says:

I hope all the rumor I have read are not true and we get a happy ending but my heart feels that we in for a very sad ending 😢

    • goodange says:

As I’ve said on Soompi, the only ending I’m interested in is the end to all the rumors or speculation about the conclusion. 😉 Nothing has been proven, so, I say to Nervous Nellies: Enjoy the show as is. Don’t worry about what hasn’t happened.

Maybe this will help … Song Joong Ki gave an interview very recently, and he said that in the future, he would like to do a project that involves a very heartbreaking love story. So, that kind of intimates that at least Shi Jin and Mo Yeon will have a good ending.
