Solomon’s Perjury is an upcoming JTBC drama based on a Japanese novel. Here’s what it’s about (from Soompi):
A male student’s body has been found at the school in Christmas morning. After the police has determined it as suicide, an anonymous note citing it was actually a murder, suddenly spreads widely. To prevent further chaos and witch-hunt, Go Seo Yun (Kim Hyun Soo), one of the students who first found the body, decides to take matter into her hands by conducting an independent trial.
Well, this is obviously not a rom-com. I can’t say that I’m particularly intrigued but I know that some crime/mystery/thriller dramas like Signal can be great so why not this?
It’s starring the very dependable Jo Jae Hyun who was recently seen in Master: God of Noodles. I enjoyed that and his previous one (Punch) so I just might check this out. In addition to Kim Hyun Soo, it also stars Jang Dong Yun, Seo Ji Hoon and Kim Yeo Jin. Of the other four, Kim Yeo Jin is the only instantly recognizable actor to me so I’ll say the young cast are relatively unknown.
Here’s the freshly minted poster:
Solomon’s Perjury replaces My Wife’s Having an Affair this Week and premieres on December 9th on JTBC.
