Sound Of Your Heart Webtoon

I’ve been waiting for this one because I not only adore Lee Kwang Soo but Jung So Min! *chants* Jung So Min, Jung So Min… Anyhoo, this web-drama began on December 7th and airs one episode per week, Fridays at 11:10 pm KST on KBS2. Lee Kwang Soo plays Jo Suk, a cartoonist and Jung So Min plays his girlfriend. I’m also not sure who is subbing but I did manage to find the first 3 episodes with English subs at 4UDrama and then learned the whole thing started airing on Naver back in November, which explains why there are so many un-subbed episodes floating around. There will be cameos from Song Joong-Ki, Kim Jong-Kook, Gong Seung-Yeon and many others along with a cameo from Jo Suk – the real life cartoonist this story is based on. The ratings have been horrid so far but I’m not sure what to expect from a webtoon. The few episodes I watched, the parents are hilarious and make it worth watching – so far.

From AsianWiki:

Drama series depicts various stories of real life cartoonist Jo Suk and the people around him including his older brother Jo Joon and his girlfriend/wife Ae-Bong.

I think it’s done well on Naver. Many of these webdramas don’t have high ratings when aired belatedly on TV.

Ahhh…that makes sense. I’m only enjoying the parents so far.

Reading the article Korea Times article payed by CK (thanks), I’m confused – can someone explain the difference in a sit-com versus the comedies based on a situation in Kdramas?

    Situation samples:

-stunt woman has stalker chaebeoul and they end up switching bodies.

-chaebeoul hates going on blind dates so hires a boy, who’s actually a girl, to pretend he’s gay

-resident doctor is pulled into her cartoonist father’s cartoon world

-weather girl wants to be anchor and crushes on experienced anchor who introduces her to his best friend in order to get rid of her, but then becomes jealous

These are all situation comedies, aren’t they?
