So we arrived at the end of another fun drama. While I enjoyed it and love the OTP, I have to say that it ended the typical way.
It’s not like this show is particularly unique or anything but I would have loved for the villains to get an appropriate punishment for once. Yes, it’s a light drama and there aren’t any serial killers but I think with the level of corruption going on there, especially with the principal putting hundreds of kids lives at stake by feeding them poisonous food, it would have been better to see them get a very clear, harsh punishment,
Then there’s Tae Woon’s father who did the usual last minute change of heart and turned himself in and it seems his punishment was downsizing and relocating.
Then there’s abusive Hee Chan who doesn’t appear to have learned a single lesson. He lost Dae Hwi’s help but given that he’s a young kid, it would have been nice to at least see him suffer true repercussions for his actions or at least a positive change in attitude.
I feel like the show climaxed about two weeks ago and dragged in the last few episodes. I know they are young kids but I would have liked to see more about Eun Ho’s webtoon, more Sa Rang and her guy and while I’m happy that Dae Hwi found happiness, I never cared for his relationship with Nam Joo and would have liked to see more about him resolving his money issues or at least see that touched upon again. Plus I wish we got more of his bromance with Tae Woon.
Anyway, it was a fun ride and I look forward to seeing these actors in future projects.
