It’s been a long time since I had a major K-drama OTP and given that I added Jung Hae In to my list of husbands after While You Were Sleeping, let’s just say I’ll be all over this couple if they have chemistry.
Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food is an upcoming JTBC drama scheduled to debut in March. Here’s the synopsis from AsianWiki:
Yoon Jin-A (Son Ye-Jin) is a single woman in her 30’s. She works as a supervisor at a coffee company. Yoon Jin-A is an easygoing person, but she feels empty inside. Seo Joon-Hee (Jung Hae-In) is the younger brother of her best friend Seo Kyung-Sun. He comes back to South Korea after finishing work abroad. Yoon Jin-A though he was just a childish guy, but he appears different to her now.
This “friend’s younger brother” thing is giving me What’s Up Fox flashbacks and the “came back grown & sexy” thing is sending me back to I Need Romance 3. I liked What’s Up Fox so let’s see if this gives me those rom-com feels. It’s directed by Ahn Pan Seok, who’s known for makjangs like Secret Love Affair but surely, this drama won’t be a melo. RIGHT??!!?
To be honest, I’m just happy my cutie is getting work. From Prison Playbook to this and I’ll definitely be giving it a shot.
